Meet Richard Kovacik, JD, MBA

FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
With over 15 years of experience in healthcare industry leadership, innovation, and strategic business development, Richard operates at the forefront of healthcare transformation. As the Founder and Managing Director of the Healthcare Growth Group, Richard brings a wealth of strategic and operational leadership expertise across the spectrum of functions needed to achieve accelerated growth. Deeply purposeful and passionate about driving exceptional growth outcomes for healthcare enterprises, Richard plans and executes strategic growth initiatives to supercharge successful product / market launches and stakeholder exits such as capitalizations, recapitalizations, M&As and IPOs.
Richard's track record of achievement in the healthcare industry features leading and transformative roles for leading and transformative healthcare organizations, at the key inflection point of when the most dramatic value was created and captured by each organization and its investors.
Prior to founding HGG, Richard served as a senior executive (Chief Development Officer and General Counsel) of VieMed. At VieMed, Richard was responsible for a dramatic, national, payer network and market expansion that helped secure VieMed's status as the nation’s largest independent respiratory disease management company in the United States - and helped drive VieMed’s public markets listing on Nasdaq. Planning and executing unique payer market access, managed care, and payer partnership initiatives, at an unprecedented scale, Richard sourced, negotiated, and closed a vast majority of VieMed’s current contracts, with both immediate and lasting impact on VieMed's revenues.
Richard also successfully established and developed (Founder and President) an innovative, mobile, integrated healthcare delivery system, Comprehensive Mobile Care. Today, Comprehensive Mobile Care provides onsite dentistry, audiology, optometry, and podiatry services to institutional patients in seventeen US states. Prior to Comprehensive Mobile Care, Richard served as a Director of ReachOut Healthcare America, then the largest mobile healthcare company in the US, in its period of eldercare market expansion and recapitalization to Morgan Stanley. On two different occasions, Richard partnered and assisted in the formation of innovative health insurance companies providing innovative healthcare financing solutions supporting the revenue models of Richard’s enterprises and those of his partners.
Richard began his career of providing exceptional professional services - and pragmatic solutions to complex problems faced by healthcare industry clients - while working as an attorney in the California offices of leading national law firms Jones Day (a leading international law firm) and Hooper, Lundy & Bookman (a leading US healthcare law firm). Richard holds a JD and a BA in Organizational Studies from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Arizona Eller College of Management. Richard is based in Phoenix, Arizona. When he is not driving remarkable performance, growth, and success for his national and international clients, Richard enjoys travel, the outdoors, and spending time with his children.
